Alumina hollow ball castable

Alumina hollow ball castable is a new type of high-temperature insulation material. It is made of industrial alumina that is melted and blown in an electric furnace. The crystal form is a-Al2O3 microcrystals. With alumina hollow balls as the main body, it can be made into products of various shapes. The use temperature is as high as 1800℃. The products have high mechanical strength, which is several times that of general lightweight products, and the volume density is only half of that of corundum products. Alumina hollow ball castable has excellent high-temperature resistance and thermal insulation performance and can be directly used for the working lining of high-temperature kilns.

Instructions for the use of hollow alumina ball castables

(1) Mixing: The mixing method is basically the same as other thermal insulation castables, but the temperature of the mixing water should be controlled below room temperature 25°C.

(2) Construction: When pouring hollow alumina ball castables, it is advisable to use manual vibration. If a vibrating rod is used, it should be vibrated slightly, and the vibration time should not be too long.

(3) Maintenance: The spray method is used for maintenance, and the maintenance period is not less than 3 days.
